- Standard Cover - This is the main cover for a comic issue. Usually there is only one standard cover per issue but some titles are published with two, and sometimes even four standard covers.
- Variant Cover - This a comic that is published with a different and rarer cover than the standard cover, which is offered to retailers as an incentive for buying a certain number of the standard covers, eg 1 Variant for every 25 Standard copies purchased.
- Reprints - If a particular issue of a comic sells out or sells a high quantity of copies, a publisher will often decide to reprint that issue to satisfy demand from those who were unable to get a copy of the initial print run.
